Coaching Biography

Despite being only 23 Fergus already boasts 8 years of coaching experience. He began by helping coach the junior sides at his home club Surbiton before later being asked to coach the men's sides from 3rdXI to 7thXI. Fergus went on to coach at Kingston Grammar school in his gap year, alongside some of the sports top coaches, including former Great Britain coach, Jon Royce. Moving to Edinburgh for university provided further opportunities to progress as a coach, working alongside former Scotland captain Mike Leonard and current women's captain Linda Clement, at George Watson's College. Fergus has also established himself as the main hockey provider for Edinburgh Council's active school programme.
