Coaching Biography

Stephan has been playing hockey since he was 10 years old. He played for a small club in the south of Germany (Bietigheimer HTC) who competed in the 3rd division. From the age of 18 he has been working as a coach. What began at first voluntarily is now his business. Since 2005 he has been working for the Mannheimer Hockey Club as a full-time coach. He has been coaching all ages from 13-18 boys and girls and is at the moment assistant coach of the 1st men's team (1. Division) and in charge of the 2nd and 3rd men's team as well as the U16 boys. As Assistant coach to the 1st XI he works on a weekly basis with a couple of players who won Gold at the Beijing Olympics. He is certified with the highest German coaching level (A) and currently studying in cologne at the German coaching Academy to earn his Master in Coaching. He also attended several FIH High Performance Courses throughout Europe and Asia.
